Heather and Ben's weekend in Little Haven

Sometimes a wedding can be a difficult thing to pull off - juggling friends and family, venues and caterers can seem like an awful lot of trouble, not least if you're trying to do it from thousands of miles away!

But there are other times when a family really comes together and creates a beautiful event with little to no fuss, even if the bride and groom are all the way in Texas!

Such was the case with Heather and Ben and their little daughter Bea who got in touch with Ness last autumn with their plans of a wedding at Heathers' mums home in the quaint village of Little Haven on our beautiful Pembrokeshire coastline.

With lots of long distance calls, and amazing support from "super mum on the ground" Rosemary, we carefully planned the perfect weekend to celebrate their love and show off this striking part of the world to family and friends from across the globe.

Surrounded by such support we had a small army of helpers to decorate, rearrange and organise the wedding venue, and whilst we worked on the flowers, dressing the reception location and going through final rehearsals, family and friends were still hanging bunting, moving furniture and generally being wonderful.

Ultimately Ben and Heather wed in an intimate, fun and colourful day, cocooned with caring, generous people. The music was a key centrepiece (the mother of the bride Rosemary being a wonderful concert pianist) and a live ceilidh band was a gorgeous way to invite all ages to get up for a dance.

We loved the bride and grooms choice of colour in their flowers, their relaxed nature and the strong feeling of family that permeated the celebrations.

Congratulations guys! Hope the flight back wasn’t too taxing!
